Filtration lines are the dark areas (usually black) generally along baseboards and more visible with lighter color carpets.

"How do I know if I have filtration lines?"
  • Rub your finger along the carpet where it touches the baseboard. If you get a pile of dust and the carpet looks good again then you just have dust, if you do not get any dust and the line remains, then you probably have filtration lines.
"Where else would I see filtration lines?"
  • In doorways (generally where doors are usually shut all the time), closet doorways, around furniture and in some extreme conditions, you may see the outline of every 4x8 sheet of sub-floor.
"How do I avoid this happening?"
  • Usually it is caused by the HVAC system (Hot air heat) not having enough return air and you can have that verified by an HVAC specialist. Other things such as outside environmental elements may play a role such as close to a quarry, highway and living in the inner city.
"How does Therma-clean remove/treat filtration lines?"
  • Therma-clean uses specialty cleaning products designed specifically for filtration lines along with mechanical agitation and crevice tool extraction to generally remove 80% or better of the lines. Sometime it all doesn’t come out but will look significantly better.

DID YOU KNOW?

Power-stretching is the proper method to install carpets. Carpets should not be installed with knee kickers, however the majority of all carpets are installed with knee kickers. Power-stretching carpets is a much more time consuming process than kneww kicking, but will result in a much flatter surface and last much longer with no issues - such as ripples.

CARPET REPAIRS

You may not have to replace your damaged carpet! Therma-clean can handle most carpet issues including repairs such as; pet damage, rips, severe stains, bleach spots, fireplace burns etc….

We provide:
  • Sectioning to repair burns, bleaching, stains or other damage - including pet damage!
  • Power stretching to remove ripples
"I have lumps or ripples in my carpet, can they be removed?"
  • Power-stretching removes the ripples  and in severe cases, removes a potential trip hazard.

"Does all the furniture need to be moved?"
  • In most cases – yes however sometimes there are ways to remove the majority of the ripples without removing all the furniture.

How do you replace damaged areas?

There are commonly 2 methods either sectioning or graphing:
Therma-clean can use a donor piece from extra carpet left over from original installation or use a piece out of a closet to do repair.

Another option is if the carpet is being stretched as well this often will yield some extra carpet that can be used for repairs.

UPHOLSTERY CLEANING

Therma-clean can use a number of different cleaning methods depending on the surfaces that are being cleaned. If the surface is “wet cleanable” then we may use an Upholstery tool that can leave a much drier surface after cleaning. Non-wet cleanable surfaces may be “hand cleaned” using gentle cleaning products by hand as to avoid “wetting” the surface.

We'll leave your upholstery looking bright and new!

STONE, TILE, AND VINYL

Using state-of-the-art equipment, we “pressure” wash the surface with cleaners, scrubs, and 200+ degree water to break down dirt and oils.

This same equipment can be used to clean concrete floors or patios. We can also prep garage floors using this process in preparation for many of the floor paint/coating systems that are widely available.

  • Tile and grout cleaning
  • Vinyl floor (and VCT) cleaning and refinishing
  • Kitchen & bathroom cleaning
  • Outdoor stone cleaning
Therma-clean uses industry recommended cleaning practices to clean tile and natural stone. The surface condition is evaluated for overall condition, then an appropriate method is chosen which could include the following:
  • Surface is treated with Ph correct solution to break down and emulsify the soils
  • Grout lines are hand or machine scrubbed/agitated
  • Final step is extraction in an enclosed environment that sprays high pressure water generally 600 to 1200 psi of water pressure onto the surface and immediately extract to flush out the soils. This water is also at 200+ degrees using the heat to break down oils that are commonly found in kitchens.
This same equipment can be used to clean concrete floors or patios. We can also prep garage floors using this process in preparation for many of the floor paint/coating systems that are widely available.
